rmorelan
So today it appears we have a court case coming for medical resident that is taking NOMS to the human rights tribunal, claiming she was punished for filing for harassment while she was a resident there. As far as I know this is the first time someone has done that - its a public hearing so the zoom details are above. Supposed to last the rest of the week. MedicineLCS
This case has already been before the Tribunal at least twice (if you look at CanLii). The burden of evidence/case required to go to a Human Rights Tribunal is much lower than traditional court so you often see these instead of court cases, if anyone is ever bored CanLii does have details of past cases that went to tribunals or actual court. EDIT: This did actually go to court and ended with an anti-SLAPP judgement for suing the investigator: https://www.lerners.ca/lernx/the-court-of-appeal-for-ontario-dismisses-defamation-claim-over-workplace-investigation-report/ shikimate
