It looks like ADAGE was updated for the 'universitaires', although the cote/NAS/APS scores aren't posted. Didn't they tell us at the APS that these would be posted???

 

The news is good though – I think?!

Hey Ibiza, unless things have changed, when I applied at Laval 2 years ago, the only thing that was on adage was the acceptance/refusal/waitlist (not the position) We received the Rscore, NAS and APS score through the mail, with the letter telling us the decision...

It says Offre d'admission conditionnelle. Conditional on what though? Is this about the French competence test?

Ibiza,

 

If I were you, I would write an email to Guy Labrecque, as at the APS last week, he said he would be glad to answer any questions related to adage before the letter arrives.

Well congratulations Ibiza! It means that you're in! Conditionnelle is what cegep people normally receive, provided they complete their DEC and the required prerequisites. In your case, could it be that you didn't do l'épreuve uniforme de francais? At Sherbrooke, even if I had completed my DEC (and done the french test), it was still conditional, since I needed to give proof of my vaccination status, immatriculation avec le CMQ, good mental and physical health.

Wow, felicitations!

 

De ce que je me souviens de la presentation le jour de l'entrevue, M. Labrecque a bien specifie que le rang et notes de la NAS, APS seraient seulement dispo dans la lettre postale. Il a aussi dit que tout le monde recevait une offre conditionnelle s'ils sont acceptes. En tout cas, tu le saura bientot!

 

Je suis encore sur la liste d'attente :/ J'espere que mon rang est bon :)

Felicitations Ibiza,

 

Tu dois etre tres contente! Ne t'inquiete pas pour la 'conditionnelle', ca ne veut pas rien dire d'habitude (comme QcBoy disait!). Par contre, il n'y a pas d'examen de francais obligatoire pour l'entree en med a Laval... Tu n'as qu'a le passer apres ton entree - et si tu ne le reussis pas, tu auras a faire un cours de francais, ce qui n'est pas plus grave que ca (il est dispo par correspondance! hihi).

Medgames at McGill...but I'll be doing internal med at the MGH at that time...maybe I'll drop by...what week-end is it, I might be in between rotations actually...just before OBS/GYN

one more thing

 

Do prerequesite courses expire or something? I am a bit confused because they are asking me to take a math and all science prereqs. You would think that a B.Sc. and M.Sc. would cover that! Hmmm...

Si ça fait un bout que t'as fait supposons ta chimie générale du cégep, alors selon les règlements, il se peut que tu dois refaire ce cours. Toutefois, ce n'est pas coulé dans le béton. J'ai un de mes amis èa Sherbrooke qui a fait son cégep, ensuite bacc, ensuite maitrise et a travaillé 10 ans dans une compagnie, et il est entré a Sherbrooke haut la main (Sherbrooke a le meme règlement). Il me semble qu'il n'avait pas eu de problèmes a Laval non plus...

On a vraiment bien fait a mon avis en 2006 pour les medgames, puis on a termine quoi 4e? Les partys etaient debiles...:hat

 

Malheureusement, je serai a la fin de ma rotation de medecine interne, je risque d'avoir pas mal de boulot. Si j'ai une chance d'aller aux partys, je vais pe y aller, mais evidemment je ne peux pas prevoir ca 7-8 mois a l'avance!

Salut Noncestvrai, c'est sur que prévoir ce genre de trucs c'est impossible... mais ca va surement etre un party 4 étage au SSMU pour le vendredi et celui du samedi... c'est pas encore fixé mais ca va surement être vraiment cool (enfin... de ce que j'ai compris du dernier conseil MEDGAMES, ca a l'air vriament cool). Ce que je peux vous dire, c'est que si vous êtes inscrits, le sac cadeaux va vriament etre le fun :P

Tu racontes n'importe quoi NCV, tu le sais tres bien que tu viendras au party, meme avec une charge de travail :) L'externat n'est pas une bonne raison pour ne pas y aller... Surtout toi, petit dragueur professionnel...il y a des petites filles en MED I qui n'ont pas encore ete victimes...lol.

 

Bon bon, treve de taquineries - j'estime par contre que tu trouveras amplement le temps pour aller au partys!

Oh Ok, well I was at Dagobert...fun times, but the party friday night was simply nuts...j'ai tellement bu...and so on:hat Which reminds me I should not do that if I have to round on patients the next day...unless I put an IV on myself for obvious reasons...

NCV, Cutieyellow: You know what's weird? I was at the medgames. Didn't see either of you. Even went to that party thing and stayed all night, and didn't see either of you. Hiding out I guess :P
