Applying for residency in OTHER schools

I really want to do a specialty in orthodontics after dent school.... however, McGill offers only Oral and Maxillary Surgery as specialty program. I'm wondering if it's possible for me to apply to residency programs in other university clinics. Please help me

To the best og my knowledge you can apply for a dental residency at any other university, canada or the US having graduated from McGill. There may be some exams and visa issues i'm not aware of, but it is certainly possible.

Hey Haibinyin,

 

Laval university has nice residency programs (ortho, endo, OMS, paro, prostho, multidisciplinary) and I might be forgetting a few. Also, by doing your specialty in the province of Quebec, you're entitled to a 37,5 K salary/year for selected programs, which is very nice . By the way, did you apply to Laval and Montreal? Laval invites are supposed to be coming this week, and montreal, with the strike, who knows when they'll come out . Congrats by the way for McGill.
