Tuition Hikes

I just heard that tuition fees at Dal's Medical School will rise to about $14,500 this coming year. For those of you who are still thinking about where to go, will this discourage you from going to Dal at all? What are your thoughts on the hikes?

 

Personally, I'm still waiting to hear from Dal (any day now...), but I've been accepted at MUN. Though there are many, many other factors entering into my decision-making process, this news about the tuition hikes may just tip the scale in favour of MUN even if I do get accepted at Dal. I figure I'll end up owing some $40,000 to $50,000 more if I went to Dal (factoring in the difference in living costs, tuition, etc.) -- a not insubstantial sum. But I wish to emphasize that I would not make my decision solely on the basis of the money; it is one of many things to think about.
