cling Posted May 8, 2008 Report Share Posted May 8, 2008 Sure - if you assume that GPA is an explicit function of intelligence, which to my mind sounds rather questionable. The large body of experimental evidence, suggests that GPA is the best indicator of intelligence, in particular in premeds. Sorry. Yes, it is better than MCAT. For MCAT, VR is least predictive of intelligence. However, a GPA obtained in an undergrad engineering degree and a GPA obtained in "I am going to be a great doctor, but I need a degree first" degree are not to be compared, even if at the same university.
