Still in the UK…

Boards of Canada - June 9th

Boards of Canada – 1969

Boards of Canada - Macquarie Ridge

Boards of Canada -In a Beautiful Place Out in the Country

Boards of Canada -Happy Cycling

(I write my best papers to Boards of Canada, haha! Even though I posted some before, it's tough to pick individual songs as I usually listen to them by album :) )

Spoon - Got Nuffin

Kasabian - Fast Fuse

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35AFUAVZUC4

Both good new releases by bands that have been around for a while.

Speaking of that, I don't mind Weezer's newest single opposed to the garbage that seemed to make up the Red Album. I don't think they can ever return to the glory of Pinkerton and the Blue Album but the new song isn't half bad, catchy at least.

My contribution of the day…..

(Still in the UK as a part of the musical journey around the world. ;))

Eric Burdon & The Animals - To Love Somebody

Eric Burdon – Anything (1995 recording)

(I like the original better; but, I can't seem to find it YouTube-style)

Eric Burdon & The Animals - Wind of Change

(Classic lyric = "Frank Zappa zapped…." Haha!)

Eric Burdon & The Animals - Paint it Black (Live)

Eric Burdon & The Animals - San Franciscan Nights

(The Californians at the wedding on the weekend got these tunes in my head. :))

Julian Plenti - Fun That We Have

It's the lead man from interpol doing a side-project.... I have actually not even finished my first listen of the song I'm posting as I type away, but for any interpol fans I think you need to check it out and see what you think regardless...

It's definitely interesting...

Oucchh. Now you're making me feel bad. :( Lmfao.

I'm sorry I didn't mean to do that! I'm sure they'll be back together eventually. :P

NEW BRAND NEW ALBUM - DAISY. Leaked.

For Brand New fans, we're always aware that every album sounds COMPLETELY different from the one before it. This time though, I was shocked beyond belief and the first listen I didn't like it. But now. I'm starting to really enjoy it.

Haha, I was kidding. Well I did feel bad, but not seriously:P

Do you guys like The Stone Roses?

Yes, please share. This thread is a communal effort. :)

p.s. Would you be terribly jealous if I said that I met Ian Brown and all the members of Primal Scream? Don't worry; it was many moons ago, hehe!

Sometimes you just need some classic rock - Yeah!

I don't take Zeppelin too seriously, but it's cool to rock out to during domestic tasks, haha!

Led Zeppelin – Kashmir

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRpJg1StvFw

Led Zeppelin - Battle of Evermore

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w4oUJUCDX1s

don't take zeppelin seriously!? Ever see any live concert dvd's? That is some SERIOUS ****.

I've been listening to this band for hours, almost in tears at how short-lived their music career in this band was:

Neutral Milk Hotel - Two-Headed Boy

Sure have! :)

Haha! After all this time spent on pm101, I should have known better and clarified my comment. Lyrically, some of the classic rock bands are a bit dramatic; but, musically, they are quite incredible. That is just my own opinion; I am sure others would challenge me on it.

Happy Long Weekend!
