This one is a classic..... I don't care what genre of music is your favourite.

I was born in 84.... but I still think anyone a decade after me would recognize this song.

Take a listen.

Nice. Everyone wants to bust a groove to Mario. ;)

REM - Drive

Love it. Another classic.

Don't ask; I don't know what the hell I was thinking...

Actually, I've had U2 in my head this week. My friend is going to the sold out show in Toronto = lucky guy!!! Now, if only I could narrow it down to a couple U2 songs to post. Hmm...this is hard!

:D

LOL, that made me laugh!!! Shaggy. Good ol' days.

Happy Birthday to Law!

;)

(And, good luck to supafield today!)

Thanks Haly! AND KICK SOME ASS SUPAAAAAAFLY! :P

Brand New - Noro

One of my favourite songs on their new album! I'm going to be going to both their shows on Nov 21+22 in Toronto.

Love the beat to this one (brand new - sink).

Said it before, but I must reiterate... this is my favourite band. I grew up with this band from their early punk-rock days when I was in high school to the dark, powerful stuff they play now... totally a coming-of-age band. ;) Love them. To get an idea of how they've changed over the years:

first album:

brand new - shower scene

second album:

brand new - okay i believe you but my tommy gun don't (my fave song)

third album:

brand new - limousine

this song is about a 7 year old girl, Katie Flynn was killed by a drunk driver. she was a flower girl at a family wedding and left in a limousine (a second limo with her mom was following). Her limousine was hit by the drunk driver who was driving in the wrong lane after getting into a fight with his girlfriend. Fully just plowing through into oncoming traffic and he didn't see their limo and didn't even try to stop. Full head on collision. Katie was decapitated (limo driver also died instantly). Her mom being in the second limo rushed to the scene to look for her daughter and found her head on the road... picked it up and sat with it on the side until paramedics cut her body out of the limo. listening to this song just gives me goosebumps (seriously!).

and i've already posted stuff from album 4.

Gentleman Reg - How We Exit

I really like this song... not so much for his other stuff but this song has quite the catchy beat.

Hopefully seeing Final Fantasy at Vic Park for Lola fest tomorrow... hi oh!

I'm thinking about going to these guys, just from friend's recommendation, don't really know anything about them though.

Sorry Final Fantasy is playing saturday... not tonight.

More or less just Owen Pallett on his own... he gets a bit of help at times... but from what I understand he's a one man show live....

Very interesting music... heavy in violin... Fairly unique which I appreciate.

Check this video of him playing the hillside festival.... about 4 minutes in they try to get him off the stage due to the rain and he just wants to finish the song lol... admirable

No class in mandatory if you are suspected of having H1N1....

but when test results come back negative... you'll be fine to join your peers in class again lol

HAHAHA!!! I'll see if there's a way for me to miss it. I doubt it though.

Everyone should check out COLOUR REVOLT. Great, great band! I posted their stuff here before, I'm sure.

Neutral Milk Hotel

This band is amazing. Their music is so sad, and yet, so strangely beautiful and happy at the same time. Give them a listen.
