successful interview

Recommended Posts

It's just more spam - Grrrrrrr

As for the MMI the only where I was having the most fun did go best for me - I was treating it like a kind of game and somehow it worked :)

Applicant: Hello, nice to meet you. I bid one dollar.

Interviewer: Excuse me?

Applicant: The kid in the next room made a gross overbid. So one dollar please.

I haven't had med school interviews yet, but I have had many others:

They laugh rather than cough or look away at your jokes.

You didn't say "ummmm" at the beginning of every sentence (perhaps just every second sentence).

You didn't mention all the sex-slaves you store in your basement.

You didn't forget the name of the company/interviewer/school and mix it up with the competitor (yikes!).

You didn't burp the ABC's when they asked you if you had anything else to add.

--Seriously though, there really isn't any "complete" way of knowing how an interview went. You may sound pretty clear, coherent, and confident to the panel while you feel like passing out in the chair...or you may feel pretty chipper and happy about the entire ordeal only to find out the panel thought you were a bumbling idiot.

In short: be yourself, be honest, have a lovely martini (or 4, or more) when it's over.
