Full course load and EXTR credits?

Hi guys,

 

I did IB in highschool and got 3 transfer credits for university so in first year I started with 3.0 credits done. I still took full course load cuz I knew its recommended if u had med in mind and cuz I was a freshman and had no idea about many things lol...what happened is, 2 of my courses counted as EXTRA cuz the max at U of T is 6 credits per year.

 

I did full course load in 2nd year as well.

 

I am heading to my third year and I am so confused now, should I take full course load still or should I take 4 courses and try to get a better GPA (and eliminate whichever med schools that require full load) ??

 

My first year was pretty bad but second year was better, i am not sure how useful the U of T weighing formula would be for me? Unless they take off my first year lool, im not sure if its worth it taking the 5 courses and then waiting for them to take one off instead of taking 4 and doing well?
