autobio details

When entering the 'details' for the autobio sketch, do most people write in point form? For example, for tasks performed in a volunteer activity, is it best to just list...

ie) - helped people

- office work

- recruitment

obviously terribly written:p , but just an example... or do most of you guys write either in full sentences, or even sentence-like structure within point form / descriptively

let me refine that... i know that omsas tells you to write it in point form, but within the point form notes, do you guys think it is better to write with complete syntax and detail, or more 'point-form', as it is inherently known?

be as descriptive as possible within the confines of the space.

try to write concisely but with impact. the thesaurus is your friend

 

Example from my application last year for EC as walk home program dispatcher:

"Receive phone requests for walks, dispatch patrollers to provide walks, on-call resource for people in need, train new dispatchers"

 

sometimes american spellings help you fit things in, too!

You may use point-form when you have a long list of duties to include (don't be redundant though) and use sentence form when you have a shorter list "Responsibilities included..."

 

When you are really restricted for space you really cannot be flowery--concise is best (unless you write really well )
