I came out of my first undergrad (med sci) with a 3.5 gpa, which is ok but not competitive for med school. Had no idea what to do with myself besides a masters, but I knew I didn't want to do my PhD so what was I going to do if I didn't get in after my Masters? So I did a compressed nursing program (2yrs), and got a 3.95 each year (so it is possible to get good marks I'm currently working ER/ICU as an RN, and absolutely love it! Med school is still where I'd like to end up, but I no longer feel the pressure to get in right away now that I'm doing something I really enjoy and am learning so much!
