globy321
Hi. Has anyone have any experience with switching labs and supervisors early on in graduate studies? Any advice?
lost__in__space
This can be tricky to not burn bridges but if you're unhappy in a lab, do something... why spend 2 years being unhappy and unproductive? LostLamb
I have experience switching labs late...not recommended but sometimes inevitable. You had better have a rock solid reason to leave. Check your departmental guidelines and procedures about the process. Make sure you have someone in place who is 100% willing to take you on. Non_Trad
I say if you are more than 6 months in.. then just tough it out and run with a Master's.. Afterwards you can always go for PhD.
