I'm in the Ottawa region. The percentiles are a little weird for this one.

Reading ranged from a 2-27

bio ranged from 10-30, only one person got a 30

chem ranged from 8-25

Science average ranged from 11-24

PAT ranged from 10-30, only 3 ppl got a 30

AA averaged from 12-24

and carving averaged from 0-30

Wow, 20 in RC is 60th percentile? I guess the passage was pretty easy this time. Great news for ppl applying to western.

Do they mail all the letters out at the same time - it just takes longer based on where you live?

Or for some weird reason are the letters staggered?

It's usually based on where you live - Toronto/Ontario region usually get theirs first. The farther you are, the longer it takes (usually).

You can also call the CDA office and ask them to verbally disclose your marks to you. If you're lucky, they will do that for you!

Does anyone have the November percentiles handy so we can compare the two tests?

I do!

RC 20 was 77%

BIO 20 was 77%

CHEM 20 was 73%

SCI 20 was 75%

PAT 20 was 53%

AA 20 was 79%

CARVE 21 was 84%

Wow this really scares me comparing them to the NOV 09 percentiles..

hmm yah CDA better know what they r doing with these DATs...in terms of fairness, i guess only people who took both Nov and Feb can speak of the difficulty etc but still this would be biased...

I took both and I found the FEB DAT's RC to be a bit easier, bio was WAY easier, chem was much harder, carving was the same and I found the PAT a bit harder too (compared to nov)

This may be a stupid question... but are these the ranges for everyone that performed the Feb DAT or only those from the Ottowa region?

For example,

There are 100 applicants.

RC 20 is 77 % ; it means that 77 got a score of 20 or under.

Hi,

Actually, it means that 77% performed the same as you and 23% performed better than you. The 77% average is cumulative percentile. There are three columns of scores after the standardized score in each category and therefore, it allows you to interpret your performance compared to everyone else.

What he said was correct... if it's 77% then 77% of people scored less than or equal to that score.
