I just noticed too! I PM'd tooty, so hopefully he/she can get rid of them. It's so annoying reading the same thread in every forum =_=

They spam for commercial gain or just plain stupidity. We all do our part and alert the mods and generally, they react pretty quickly.

This vbulletin script needs to get the security updates. The current one installed is an outdated version with a lot of bugs and security issues.

Yes the spammers are annoying - primary problem is I think we don't have any Captcha on the registration process. Makes it pretty easy for bots to posts (and post, and post). And yes the verison here is horribly out of date and can be attacked in numerious ways. I would love to help upgrade the silly thing at some point.

 

Version 4 does have Captcha that and depending on how long the current licience lasts upgrading could even be free.

Exactly there are certainly options I would be surprised if by simple donation we couldn't get the funds almost immediately.
