Yes the spammers are annoying - primary problem is I think we don't have any Captcha on the registration process. Makes it pretty easy for bots to posts (and post, and post). And yes the verison here is horribly out of date and can be attacked in numerious ways. I would love to help upgrade the silly thing at some point.
