Guest Magnolia
Needing some input...I will be applying to McGill Med for next September. I did a kinesiology & biology joint degree but because of scheduling conflicts with core courses, I don't have either one of molecular or cell bio. McGill admissions page says these are recommended..will not having them negatively affect my chances of admission? Should I try to take them this year? Guest medicator007
They are not required and to the best of my knowledge lack of those courses will NOT negatively affect your odds at admission. The course content though may help you with some of the material in first year but is by no means necessary. Plenty of people in my class got in and by just fine without them Medicator
Guest bearman14
I did a knes undergrad as well, and didn't have molecular or cell bio either. It didn't affect my application (to the best of my knowledge ). If it doesn't screw up your scheduling, it probably wouldn't hurt to take one or the other, but like Medicator said, it's probably not necessary. Good luck!
