Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

To all those celebrating Christmas (religious or secular), Merry Christmas!

Happy New Year for everyone, may 2011 be a better year for you, your loved ones, and the world!

All those applying to med school next year, I hope you get accepted!

 

Short recap of year 2010:

Jan 12: Haiti Earthquake.

Jan 25: Ethiopian plane crash after taking off from Beirut.

April 10: Death of the Polish President.

Spring: Cloud of ashes above Europe caused by Eyjafjallajökull.

May 31: Death of 9 Turkish activists by Israel fire after assaulting their ship.

Summer: Heat wave in Russia causing fires.

Oct 22: Cholera outbreak in Haiti.

Nov 29: Wikileaks release secret US Secretary of State documents.

Instead of focusing on all the negative aspects of 2010, why not have dates of all the positive events that occurred in 2010 instead...

 

To start things off:

 

February 28, 2010-Canadian Men's hockey team win the gold medal, and Canada wins the most Gold Medals ever in a winter olympic games with 14!!!! :D

 

AND-Vancouver does an AMAZING job of hosting the winter olympics!!!!
