2011 Accepted/Rejected for Interview - Email Time - GPA, ECs/Volunteering

this is kinda weird...i didn't think OOP aren IP interview at the same time

 

They don't. Unless you're OOP with IP status (there are a bunch of ways to demonstrate residency, e.g. through a parent). Sorry, my bad. (Add forgetfulness to the list of reasons why I shouldn't be a physician.) The invite letter explicitly stated "Quebec applicant."

Invited to interview via email on the 4th at 1:00 pm

 

Undergrad GPA: Biology at Mount Allison (Honours in genetics), 3.58

MCAT: did not submit

 

Graduate GPA: Masters in Biomedical Sciences, 3.6 for the first semester

 

Research: 2 summers at Colorado State University's Infectious Disease Labs, 3 years at the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) working on vaccine development. Independent honours research thesis.

 

Publications: 1 presented at ASTMH, 1 published abstract, 2 published theses

 

Extracurriculars: Global Medical Brigades in Honduras, Rotaract, Special Olympics, Leadership, Counselor volunteering, Team Fox, intramural sports, bilingual theatre, musical theatre, Dean's List, tooons of research experience and lots of volunteering.

 

SUPER excited for the 22nd!!
