best way to pay tuition fee for international students

Recommended Posts

What is the best way to pay tuition fee for international students, I am thinking of in terms of getting the best exchange rate and attracting the least fees. I am specifically thinking about Australian med schools.

Thanks

I heard of some students at a US school who converted all their tuition money up front when the CDN dollar was worth $0.80 USD, thinking that was as good as it was going to get. Ooops.

You can always make predictions but it's impossible to know for sure how currencies will trend over the course of your education and it's always a bit of a gamble.

Cdn residents and US citizens can't use it, but once you have an address overseas, Internaxx (a TD subsidiary based in Luxembourg) is the cheapest way (in terms of fees and commission) to purchase international $$.

is there a link to the current rate provided by internaxx? I noticed TD itself gives a slightly lower rate than north star, but TD has transfer fees which make the two about equal. Im curious how internaxx compares.
