future_doc
More uncertainty in country and Region now that does not need instability. Presumably his successor, the youngest son, will need to establish himself within the North Korean military power base. This could lead to a show of power on the international stage or could be the beginning of positive change. .
Robin Hood
Unfortunetly, you can't expect a North Korean Spring, because the regime is too powerful. Let's hope the new dictator is better than his father.
future_doc
The new dictator, a 4 star General, lol, is too young and experienced to have created his own power base in so short a time and it may be that the military will really exercise the true power behind the scenes. It needs to play out.

They have his picture in their houses and all public buildings, and they regularly bow down to it and pray to him!! Batsh!t nuts eh?

North Koreans are brainwashed since birth to love the leader. They have his picture in their houses and all public buildings, and they regularly bow down to it and pray to him!! Batsh!t nuts eh? His sons were educated overseas at some points in their life. Maybe they picked up a few things about not brainwashing and killing their own people. I hope for a brighter future for them. & I don't think ALL NKoreans truly thought of Kim Jong-Il as their supreme leader...especially after he devalued their currency overnight (2 years ago)
