bored
Hi guys, I have been browsing through some of the list that our members have made such as this one http://www.premed101.com/forums/showthread.php?p=673855#post673855 and it seems like all of them require a reference letter of some sort. Now I have some refrees who would write me letters but I feel that if I were to ask them for a letter for every one of these opportunities, then Id just be bothering them with too much work. So often times, I have felt bad and not applied for that reason.. can anyone advice on what I should do? also I now there are some 3rd party LOR services that somehow store letters online and send the letters whenever we ask it to? for example --> http://www.interfolio.com/ I have some questions about those, do those work for med school? does that mean that I can do my service for my refree, and have them send a reference letter to this service and be able to use it a year or so later? Thanks for your replies

tooty
There's no way around it. You can fill out as much as you can before handing it over to save them time. Alternatively, you can ask your referees if they would sign off letters written by yourself.
preppy038
lookin for research spots is a bit late now (unfortunately) typcally, most labs have positions filled up by beginning of february. anywaysss ive actually never heard of those services :s also, there exist some studentships that dont require lors one of them is charles hollenber studentship from bbdc, but i think the deadline is passed
SharkLvr
It's very unlikely that you'll find a funded research position at this point, but if you're really interested in doing something why not ask/email faculty at your school of interest and ask if they have something going? Takes a bit of luck at this point (as lots of labs are full for the summer), but def worth a shot!
