I guess what I am trying to ask is when is the earliest date that we will be informed of their residency requirements? because those are subject to change, no? Like dal just changed it all of a sudden this year to 2 years instead of 12 months... What if I make this huge plan to move and then September rolls around and they change the IP requirements entirely. That would suck lol No. The applicant can be from anywhere and still be considered IP if he establishes Alberta residence in July and leaves temporarily thereafter. What you're describing is unlikely to succeed in maintaining IP as any reasonable person can easily see that your homebase is still in, say, Ontario.
