Hi, i'm wondering if you guys know anything about car insurance when you are a med student. Someone told me that if you are in med, you will get 50% off your car insurance because you are part of the Alberta Medical Association (or something of that sort). Is this true? And if you are in med, are you automatically part of the AMA or how does that work?

You have to pay to join the AMA/CMA. It's like $88 for the 4 yrs.
