Age of people applying

Does anyone know the average age of first year OT/PT students. Are mature students common in these programs?

I will be turning 26 in November. Feel a bit older though because I am getting married this summer.

Like physio101 said, in general most will be 21 or 22. There will be a wide range within your class, from 21 to 40+, and everyone gets along really well.

I will be 29 this August! I love that there are people of all ages applying to OT and Physio. Life experience is so important and I think Admissions consider that.

What I think you'll find is that schools like Queens will have more "mature" students as they don't look at GPA alone. Meaning those who are older would have more experience in the rehab field than those who are younger, just graduated from university, with minimal experiences. Schools that solely base their acceptances on GPA would have "younger" students.

I'm 21. My friend who is a first year student in the UBC Van MOT program said that her program is about half 21-23 year olds coming straight from their UG degrees and the other half have a little more experience and can range from 24 all the way up to their forties like some have already said!
