iFlayx
Hey guys, There are few end of summer academic research conferences that I would like to attend. However I am completely new to this. They are calling for abstracts and though I current have a research project going on, I am not sure how to submit an "appealing" abstract. Does anyone know how to make an abstract stand out and appealing to the selection judges? I'd really love to attend a possible conference to get an experience of what it is like. Cheers! Lactic Folly
Talk to your supervisor. They'll like your initiative.
RedLily
Sometimes a conference has links to previous years abstracts. These would all be accepted abstracts, so you can get a sense for what that particular conference is looking for (aka what they find "appealing"). For example, the Canadian Society of Microbiologists does that. Hope that helps!
