pre-req question

Hi everyone,

 

I've been a viewer of these boards for quite some time, and have found the advice reasuring and helpful.

 

my question is:

 

"will it be looked down upon if i take biochem, org-chem, and physics after i finish my undergrad?

i'm asking...is it required that i take these pre-req's during my undergrad?"

 

the issue is that being in nursing, with a strict course regimen, i am unable to complete ALL of the pre-req's by the time I finish my BSN. so my plan is to continue going to school part time (3 pre-req courses per semester) for the year after I graduate, and then prepare to write the MCAT in the summer thereafter.

 

i'm just wondering if this will be frowned upon by adcoms. I don't have a choice....but it would be nice to know ahead of time.

I think the answer is "not at all." But it may depend on the school. . . that certainly is the case for UWO.

As already mentioned, UWO won't care...however, you will not be able to use any of the courses that you take during a part-time year for GPA purposes...
