NotASerialKiller
OMSAS booklet apparently says you have to include your verifier in the activity name in brackets. This sounds odd considering you indicate the verifier number in the box in the details. Am I making myself crazy over nothing, or do you actually have to include it in the title as well? j17f
I'm freaking out about this too. I'm making space in the activity "description" i.e Fitness Instructor for Seniors-Vict Order Nurses(1), although I now have to remove three characters from the title to make room for (1). I've looked through the forum and it looks like this happens every year. Fuck.
NotASerialKiller
Yeah this seems to be discussed every year but without a concrete conclusion. When you call they tell you to follow the instructions, and some people seem to think it's a rule that applied before the verifier box existed and they just forgot to delete it. I'd still like confirmation from someone who at least interviewed...
MedToBe
First time I'm hearing this. Oh well, I'm not going to waste characters in the title. If schools wanna verify anything, they have the details. Silly to repeat it. I must admit, OMSAS is the most stupid system I have ever encountered. Every year people are pouring hundreds of thousands of dollars. Their crappy website is unjustified.
nelsojc
yes that is correct if you don't include this you will not be accepted to medical schools, period.

NotASerialKiller
If you have to ask..... Nope, that doesn't work less than 24 hours before submitting. Everything has to be plainly stated because I will lose my ****ing mind over any possibility of something going awry. I'm not fabricating this issue, those ***holes are the ones who printed that rule in a 2016 instruction booklet!
j17f
Not only did they print it but they bolded it.
IMislove
So silly, you literally put the verifier # in the verifier space, all of a sudden you don't do (#) and that's the end for you? So redundant.

Because we aren't all from Ontario and just clicking the TRF button. No, we get to blindly submit our 700$ application and cross our fingers the transcripts are there. Same goes for LORs
thehulk
I am probably going to include it in the title too just to be safe
RicardoKaká
I didn't do this either, did we come to the conclusion that this isn't necessary?
_ _
I didn't do this either, did we come to the conclusion that this isn't necessary? 99% sure it doesn't matter It's listed as a thing for one school, on a generic application that goes to 5 other schools as well
