knrosh93
What is a really safe GPA that pretty much guarantees admission? Also, is u of t pharm really competitive?
DoctorAM
Nothing guarantees admission *sigh*. 3.8+ according to UofT is competitive, but of course being in the 3.9s+ would be ideal as the average for accepted applicants seems to be up there consistently. (: 3.9+ seems really high. Look up old threads from SDN university of toronto pharmacy to get an idea of accepted GPAs. I did a quick search for 2019 and it seemed like the GPAs of accepted students tended to hover around 3.5 and students with 3.9+ were the outliers. I think you can also compensate for a lower GPA by having a stronger PCAT or interview performance.
_ _
I had a conversation with a rep from UofT pharm a couple years ago and she said that a 3.8 was definitely competitive. This would have been 2 application cycles ago
