Knovecc
Got an email from the College de Medecins du Quebec In the Infolettre, here is one of the issues Exclusion d’un étudiant du programme d’études médicales pour manque de professionnalisme http://www.cmq.org/nouvelle/fr/exclusion-etudiant-programme-etudes-medicales.aspx Does anyone know why they would let everyone know that they have expulsed someone from med school? I find it a bit harsh on the student...

Snowmen
After reading the ruling, it seems that he was given more than a single chance to change his behaviour but did not. If he did indeed disrespect colleagues and patients in particular, then he should not become a physician. Edit: He considered that his preceptors were unfit to evaluate his "superior intelligence." Wow! That is some serious narcissism. On top of that, his communications show that he apparently was an ass to everyone. He more than deserved to be expelled. Edit2: Wow! If you speak french, you definitely have to read the ruling.

Ok - the judgement then seems to have had merit. But, I skimmed the article (not the judgement) and it seemed to mention the authority of the university in rendering decisions. So the purpose of the article was to show the rectitude of the university then? I guess I jumped to conclusions as to the purpose of the article mentioned by the OP. SunAndMoon
Just read the ruling. Guy is clearly unstable and needs serious help...
FutureDMD-QC
He was given multiple chances to change his behaviour but didn't. Looking at the case facts, I don't think he was fit to become a physician.
indefatigable
I guess the College is trying to show the fairness of the procedure without resorting to the details of the case -for which there doesn't appear to be any doubt. It sounds like I was way off on this one (it happens)
Arztin
Arztin
Lol, the "shit French newspaper from Montreal" already published an article about him a few days ago. Too late haha I wonder if the Gazette will do the same.
