in2bat0r
Hey, I'm interested in pursuing a career in rural internal medicine. Just wondering if anyone can comment on the following: 1. Job market 2. Flexibility in scope of practice (i.e. procedures, bedside US, etc.) 3. Income 4. Overall lifestyle (i.e. time off) 5. Potential downsides 6. Which internal programs are best suited towards a rural career Thanks!

I did a little research on this and it looks good, try this website for direct jobs. https://hfojobs.healthforceontario.ca/en/list/?p=1 also try the http://www.srpc.ca/ Society of Rural Physicians of Canada (SRPC) has many job posting. Income is 800+ for Rural, Down side is that is not academic and you get to see everything, but your not the primary care provider, your a community internist.
