Summer Courses To Improve Gpa

Hey guys, my sGPA is sitting at a 3.5 right now and I was wondering if universities will look down upon summer courses that are taken to improve GPAs.

Ontario schools don't care if you have summer courses, however I would check with them how they calculate GPA if you have 22 courses in the last 2 years. I know the university of Manitoba takes your 20 newest and highest level courses (3rd and 4th year classes). So this means if you take 2 new classes this summer your 2 lowest level courses will be dropped from your GPA which for me at least actually hurts my GPA.

Ontario schools don`t care if you took a summer course as they simply look at your last 20 credits. If they need to get a few credits from a semester/grouping/term they will take the average GPA of the entire year though. Hope this helps!
