Should I retake the DAT?

Recommended Posts

I am trying to decide whether I should retake the DAT. I have a 3.85 GPA and will be applying to Dalhousie. My scores are not bad but not great. I am concerned that my Bio score is too low for admissions. Any feedback would be appreciated.

was wondering this as well. Will be applying next year to uwo with a 90-91ish and to toronto with a 3.92-3.94ish

AA:22

PAT: 19

RC: 20

Im scared the PAT might really weigh me down for UofT. thoughts?

In the same boat as you. Applying this year to western with 91-92 and toronto with 3.9 hopefully 3.95+ after dropping lowest year.

PAT: 18

It was my first time taking the DAT and PAT really got me in terms of timing. Will probably have to rewrite next year but hopefully then I'll have more time to better prepare.

If you re-write, I'd consider doing the MDT. It'll open up another great door at the UofA, even if you screw up sciences you'd still be okay.

If there is potential to do significantly better, then I don't see why not. You are only improving your shot and every penny you spend on DAT material/exam is an investment in your future.
