justwannabeadoc
i've heard from multiple peoples that queen's interview is really difficult, can someone elaborate on this? (without breaking confidentiality of course)
RichardDegrasseSagan
No. It's a pretty standard MMI.
Bigdaddybigdawg
Agreed, seemed pretty standard. Some easy, some hard, (for me at least).
S. pneumoniae
I'll add my 2 cents: it's the most unusual MMI I've had thus far, but by far the most fun
Curiousaboutapps1
Not as straightforward as most American MMI, not as strange as UBC or Mac in my opinion
lulu95
Is it still an all-acting scenarios MMI? I feel like those are more prone to blind-siding the interviewee with something unexpected.

No one can answer that due to the confidentiality agreement. We will just have to wait and see next weekend. Which btw jees time sure flew by. Soon May will come around the corner too xD, now THAT'S going to be an interesting day xD.

I still can't believe it's only a little more than a week away (and that May 9th is just under 2 months away...)
sykern
If it helps they just sent us all emails with the format we should expect .
Storii
If it helps they just sent us all emails with the format we should expect . I'm honestly a bit ticked off about that - at least for those of us who interviewed during the first weekend. The particular format of this MMI was not at all what I was expecting and threw me off a bit. Seems unfair to have half of us go in blind and then send out a reassuring "here's what to expect" email detailing the format. Grrrrs.
justwannabeadoc
the email doesn't really provide any insight into the format other than the number of stations and time for each one.. It's not fair that only half of the applicants received an email about the MMI. The information they provided is actually pretty advantageous for those who have their interviews coming up because it can help guide their preparation (and one week is still a decent amount of time to further perfect your skills). Honestly, they should have given all applicants the information or not released them at all. I wonder what response the admissions office will have if I were to call them.... I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. I'm thinking of sending a polite email in the next few days just to make sure they are aware of this. Even knowing ahead of time that there would be an "interviewer" and an "evaluator" would have been nice, since I was so unsure of whom I should be making eye contact with. Given how (understandably) stressful the whole process is for everyone, I'm sure there are many others who would have liked to have gone in less blind, or at least on even footing with the rest of the candidates. Were you given the chance to ask questions in your panel? I was not, and I'm wondering if they will stick to that more closely now that it's been sent out in an official email. I feel that panels are a bit subjective, and I wish I had been able to bring more of myself into the interview by bouncing a couple of questions off of my interviewers. RichardDegrasseSagan
Sorry about you guys earlier on not getting this information. Although I interview later this month, I agree that it's not fair for you guys. Thankfully though, it wasn't super informative. Although still informative. Morinphen
I interviewed earlier this month as well. Perhaps they'll accept half of the applicants from initial interviews, and the other half from the ones coming up next week so it's fair?

I don't think thats how it works *Edit: On the sheet they sent it said that there will be copies of the same instructions at the actual interview. If you guys didn't have them there too, then I agree it is unfair and they need to figure that out. Otherwise, having the info a week ahead doesn't seem very beneficial to me

TheStrangerHasNoSongs
Didn't see the sheet at the interview. Wasn't explained the role of interviewer vs. evaluator. Had time for 1 question at the end of the panel.

S. pneumoniae
Oh shoot, with the exception of the stations with an actor where it was explicit that I'd be interacting with one person, I still tried to make eye contact with the other person in the room (the evaluator I guess). Is that bad?
bonappetit
I agree with the opinion that this isn't a groundbreaking difference. However, I do understand why some people might think this is unfair, because to a large extent, the interview process is largely affected by your feeling of confidence going in, etc. I also think it's the responsibility of any admissions programs to disseminate information in a way that can be seen as being fair by all applicants who are being interviewed - and especially given the fact that it isn't too difficult to do this in a timely manner, I am a bit confused why it played out this way.
