Hi,

I have a question...On the schedules, there is a test called the Associate Dean's Test that takes place the first day back from Christmas break, and again in June.

What exactly is this test? Is it an important part of our assessment? Do you find that you have to use your christmas vacation to study for it?

No studying for the dean's exam!!! It is mandatory for students to write but does not count for anything. It's a tool for us (as students) to see if our learning strategies are working (i.e. are we retaining anything of what we learn). So the whole "no-study" thing is actually quite important.

I'm not exactly sure what the faculty doees with the info other than just track it...maybe other mods more in the know can help out...

I think it's actually just a ploy to see who comes back from xmas vacation in time.. and who tries to sneak out early to get a jump on summer vacation... God knows I wanted to skip this June's installment. but all that other stuff is plausible too :rolleyes
