Guest Dr3ni
i was wondering how a full course load to UofC is only 4 courses.... that seems pretty odd in my opinion..
Guest jgray2
A "full course load" is 5 courses each semester at u of c. The medical school doesn't require you to have that -- they just require you to be "full-time". While the rest of u of c says that 3 courses each semester is full-time, the med school wants 4. -j
Guest marbledust
Just to clarify the "3 courses = full-time load" is the cutoff point to qualify for students loans, recieve health care benefits, etc. These things require a student be enrolled in at least 60% of a full-time course load. Many people will take 5, the medical school only requires you take 4. Not sure why. If one wants to finish a 4 year degree at U of C in 4 years without doing spring and summer terms, you would, in most cases, need to take 5 classes each semester. A few programs, most notably engeneering, will have more. Of course if you are like me and most of my slacker friends, none of us took 5 and we all took longer to graduate. Guest pebbles81
Do they want four per semester or four from sept-april?
Guest muchdutch
four full year courses from september to april (that's four 6-credit courses in the year) OR eight half credit courses from september to april (that's eight 3-credit courses) OR any combination of these (for example, two 6-credit courses and four 3-credit courses within the year)
