Neuro_bertagirl
Hey everyone! Has anyone applied to U of A's rural seats in the past and gotten an interview invite or an offer of admission? I'm wondering what stats might be competitive for the rural seats. Thanks in advance!
starmay
I have applied for the rural seats this year but unfortunately didn’t make it off the waitlist. We can’t be sure how the adcom looks at the rural applicants but I think that that the classification plays a larger role pre-interview than post interview. If you have any more questions feel feee to message me Neuro_bertagirl
INTJ-A
They do not disclose rural stats, only state that they "offer rural positions over and above those who receive offers of admission through the regular process." Your academic credentials (3.8 & 513) are more than fine, I wouldn't worry about them. Your admission will depend on ECs/References/Casper/Interview. coffeeandmed
I applied for a rural position but I’m not sure if my town even met the criteria. I was accepted (GPA 4.0 and MCAT 505). Neuro_bertagirl
