I wouldn't be too disheartened if you did well in medical school but failed because you put zero effort into it and you had a borderline result, I suspect that many who don't pass and continue to not pass have some underlying reason. It's in the MCCQE technical reports (https://mcc.ca/about/publications/#search-form). In 2019, the first-time pass rate was 97% (outside of April almost no takers) and the repeat pass rate was about 70-80% (eyeballing and pooling data) which suggests there's a good chance to pass on a repeat - much higher than for a first-time IMG.
