kitchenlover
I'm aware that it is difficult to find surgical jobs in major metro areas like Toronto and Vancouver, while for FM you can practically find a job anywhere in the country (I've seen the other threads on here about those ones). What is it like for GIM or IM specialties like cardio, GI, etc? What about EM as well?
hero147
Cardio sucks, GI sucks EM I heard was pretty good. Can't comment about GIM but I would assume its in the middle. Difficult to get a job in large cities but easier in smaller cities and suburbia. kitchenlover
shikimate
It's not that bad if you have geographic flexibility. My center has been looking for GI, plastic, GIM and few others for a while without too much success. We are also looking for FM, EM, pathology so if you know upcoming grads in those areas please have them DM me. kitchenlover

So would finding a job in Cardio/GI be doable in places like Winnipeg, Edmonton, Regina, Saskatoon, Kelowna, Windsor, London, and Atlantic/Maritimes? Or are we talking about really small towns like <50k?
