On the UofS College of Medicine website (which was last updated in July 2004), there is a list of programs under development. These include:

1) Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Clinician Investigator Program

2) MD/MSc and MD/PhD programs

As far as anyone knows, are these fully-developed and available program options now, or is their implementation still being worked on?

(btw, what is program number 1 exactly?)

Hi there, I believe that the CIP (clinical investigator program) has been approved. As far as I am aware the intention is to have it up and running this fall. As far as the MD/MSc and MD/PhD is concerned I know it was one of the priorities of our Assoc. dean research. I think it is into its final stages of approval. I think the biggest hold up is coordination with the college of graduate studies, but it sounds like this was going to be happening pretty soon. I don't know exact dates/details. It is always best to contact the college for specifics. I do know those two programs were given the go ahead by the college itself.
