It depends if it's pre-interview or after the interview. If you're put on hold post-interview, they'll look at your file later and decide whether to put you on a waitlist, accept you, or reject you.

the defer just means that you will be re evaluated with the new interviewees

Really liked that letter of rejection. Better than mac. To me, mac is like that really ugly girl who just keeps rejecting you even though you've dated much hotter girls than her.

The ones who somehow manage to score well on those darn ABS questions...anyone who knows people who have gotten interviews, ask them how they answered the questions and that should give you a clue for what Mac looks for next year.

It's GPA + ABS = Interview so it's gotta be ABS as the deal-breaker, most people will likely have 3.80+ cGPA.

ABS? I'm guessing it's one of those things that made McMaster seem waay too weird for me to apply.

I like the dating analogies as well. I went out with Dartmouth once, but then they never called. Maybe I was too forward?
