My question is do American medical schools count summer courses in the GPA?

 

I am taking summer courses to fulfill prerequisites. But since they aren't taken during the year, are they counted towards the GPA?

Can you explain how these summer courses are incorporated into my GPA? I have taken 5 full courses every year and an curious to know how my summer course mark will effect my GPA?

They count like normal courses would. They're weighted the same as other courses. It's like you took them over the year.
