lmcc 2

hi guys, bumping up this thread!

for those who have recently done this exam:

what are the resources for the lmcc part two that you've used and found useful?

any approaches to studying for this?

is it similar to USMLE step 2 CS?

how far in advance should people start thinking about preparing for this exam?

just a few curious questions! tried searching the forums for the answers but was unsuccessful.

thanks!

So glad it's over! The supplementary results give you the passing score and range, but does anyone know what the mean and SD are for the exam?  Not sure how to interpret my results.

To answer your questions, you should just grab a review book that goes over the 'cardinal' presentations for each specialty, history and physicals and differentials etc. I'd study for at least a few weeks beforehand. It's different from step 2 CS in that you're being examined by a physician, the task at each station can vary dramatically (whereas all CS stations are take an H+P and write a note after), and they expect your knowledge base to be higher / at the level of an MD with a year of post-grad training.
