No Interview?

Hi, I applied to Queen's this year and I did not receive an interview. To say the least, I am slightly perplexed.

 

They said that my application did not meet their "academic" requirements. Does that mean my grades or my MCAT score?

 

My GPA is 3.87. 3.92 in the last two years. This for sure must have made the cutoff.

 

My MCAT score was 15/13/9 P.

 

I know some people who scored 9s on verbal and still got an interview. Even with a overall MCAT score lower than mine.

 

I suspect it might have been the writing sample. But still. Slightly confused.
