this is applicable starting fall 2011 cycle right ?

those applying to enter the program in September 2010 are not exempt of the MCAT ?

Those Quebec residents applying in Sept. 2010 for 1st year med classes beginning Sept. 2011, who shall have obtained a Bachelors degree from a Quebec university in May/June 2011 is the way I read it.

Great.... there goes my hopes for balancing my sub par GPA. :( Feels like I've been shot right through the heart

I think if you want to use your mcat as a way to make you application more attractive, you can still do that. You just aren't *obligated* to. :)

Quoted from the McGill website:

"If you are required or choose to submit MCAT results, these must be released and received by the Admissions Office by the relevant application deadline."

...and...

"If you have the option to submit your MCAT results, it is recommended to do so only if you are confident that your MCAT results provide better evidence of performance in basic sciences (as compared with your GPA in basic science prerequisite courses)."

Gluck!!!
