HBP
gosh, really shows how efficient the acceptance screening process is huh? i dont see a problem with wanting to room with someone with a similar cultural background as yourself. roommates need to be comfortable with each other. perhaps you're taking his request out of context. whoami
Hmm..i'm convinced... i am an indian first year and need a roommate too...but i can only share with a white person, so if youre white, pm me...your whiteness is of paramount importance... and oh yeah, is it okay that im not indian from india... im actually descended from trini indians via east africa...i wondered how strict the guidelines are...does religion matter, because we're now a weird mix of sufi-hindu mystic... this is HARD... the_chupracabras
Almost as bad as this guy who posted in the UWO accepted forums. Non-Swomen (Vancouver) GPA 3.98 13/14/14/R Interviews - UofT, Queen's, Ottawa, UBC, UWO (also applied MAC - no interview) Acceptances - Queen's, UWO Wait List - Ottawa, UofT, UBC While I'm happy I got in, I'm pissed that I got into two schools based in hick homogenous racist white towns...arghh... Hoping for a more diverse Vancouver or Toronto, so please people in UT - choose UWO over UofT. I'm sure all the Asians here can understand...but I want good food and culture - nothing against reg Canadians...
drduiib
Looking for roommates in similar cultures is cool, but there's a more tactful way of saying it without sounding like a snob. On the Internet, the emotional context of your words on subjective to the reader's interpretation.

Reminds me of something that happened to me once...I was walking across a bridge one day, and I saw a man standing on the edge, about to jump off. So I ran over and said, "Stop! Don't do it!" "Why shouldn't I?" he said. I said, "Well, there's so much to live for!" He said, "Like what?" I said, "Well, are you religious or atheist?" He said, "Religious." I said, "Me too! Are you Christian?" He said, "Yes" I said, "Me too! Are you Catholic or Protestant?" He said, "Protestant." I said, Me too! Are you Episcopalian or Baptist? He said, "Baptist!" I said, "Wow! Me too! Are you Baptist Church of God or Baptist Church of the Lord? He said, "Baptist Church of God!" I said, "Me too! Are you Original Baptist Church of God or are you Reformed Baptist Church of God?" He said, "Reformed Baptist Church of God!" I said, "Me too! Are you Reformed Baptist Church of God, Reformation of 1879, or Reformed Baptist Church of God, Reformation of 1915?" He said, "Reformed Baptist Church of God, Reformation of 1915!" I said, "Die, heretic scum!" and pushed him off the bridge.
