Dartmouth is still issuing invites until Mid-March. I haven't heard anything yet, but according to their admissions staff, "no news is good news" as they do issue rejections pre-interview. Hopefully I will hear something soon too!

P.S. Emcd I would love to take that invite spot from you if you don't want it ;)...just kidding lol

I'm also waiting to hear something from them. Hopefully we get some news by the end of the week!

I really cannot imagine any school better than UofT in Ontario.

Everyone knows that someone who thinks the University of Toronto is anywhere near the top 5 schools in Canada is stuck in the past.

UofT, McGill and UBC tend to be the focus of those who are naive. With that said, UBC and McGill both offer some solid undergrad programs. From my experience, UofT on the other hand has lagged behind in all fields except Engineering Science, which is their best program.

The University of Toronto is also completely void of a welcoming student atmosphere and is known as a commuter campus. This also means that the vast majority of UofT grads that I know (bannie would appear to be an outlier) tend to either have no loyalty to their school or actually actively hate it.

Those with an awareness of programs and progress tend to gravitate towards schools like UWO, Queens, McMaster, and Dalhousie.

No offense to bannie but immigrants who are new to Canada often have no clue about universities in Canada. They stick to schools with a reputation, regardless of whether that reputation is still warranted today.

I'm not sure whether you were joking or not, but a misplaced illusions of grandeur deserve to be addressed.

I'm sure only immigrants use premed101.

Hahaha.

Also, me and mysterychick were just having some fun. Go troll around and spread your spiteful hatred elsewhere! :)

Are you applying to US schools or do you troll the forums looking for things that make you fudge your diapers.

I just love when someone who knows nothing about Canadian universities chooses to comment on Canadian universities. That's all.

And Bannie, don't pretend that you weren't spouting that same UofT BS on SDN (not to mention, a whole lot of other BS as well).

... the immigrant comment also wasn't in regards to the entire forum.

QFT. UofT treat their undergrads like humans are treated in the matrix. Its pretty appalling.

And congrats emcd! I interviewed in Dartmouth a while back. Its a very welcoming school. The hospital looks like a mall, which you might find appealing but I found just plain weird. But yea the faculty is very inviting and the interviews are pretty stress free. That was my first interview for med school this cycle and I had no idea wtf I was doing. But they were pretty nice to me regardless :). GL

PS. They really don't see Canadians as foreigners at all. A lot of them go up to Montreal very often.

Oh yea they take extremely long to respond post interview. They said a minimum of 6 weeks. I'm still waiting...

Congrats! I think you'll enjoy the faculty there.

For transportation on the cheap, drive and hotel. Thats what I did. You can't really get around NH without a car anyways. The running joke there is that there is one taxi cab for the town. In reality there is only one...taxi company. LOL. But they have a few cabs. And the public transit is...unreliable.

Hey Deeman,

Thanks for the info,I realised that after she sent me the interview confirmation,so I was just getting a little ahead of myself.;).But I did contact a bunch of hosts and most of them said they will be away because its going to be there spring break next week, but I was lucky to find one person in the end.

Soooooo. UofT is such a *****.

They wont even let me move my exam time so that I can go for northwestern's 2nd look. such retards.

these are the things i hate about uoft. they really dunt give a **** about their undergrads.

like the only ****ing thing stopping me from just not going for the exam is that the exam is worth like 45 and i dont havea 55/55 ...

so annoying damn it.

Yes:p I complained to my registrar!!!

I was like. i can even take the exam earlier...

but uoft is afraid i will leak the questions...

and i cant take it later. cuz its unfair to the rest of the class.

honestly. its not like i even studied for the course so far.

and they can even take 10 marks off my final grade anyway if they feel like it. gosh. i shudda told them that. but that wudda just been too cocky.

z

oooh i might have sounded angry. =p

"
