Entering Coursework

For the fall semester (Sept - Dec) we put FALL

For the winter semester (Jan - May) we put WINTER

 

But what do we put if it's an all year 1.0 course? Fall-Winter..or Annual??

annual would mean you took the same course each year (as is the definition of the word annual)

For UofT students, I am bit confused on how we should enter the grades. Say for example, I want to enter BIO150Y1. Should I be entering "BIO" as course prefix, "150" as course number, and "Y1" and course suffix?

Nevermind, it is suppose to be entered like that. I found an example under the definition of Suffix.

 

 

Also, does 3credit = half course and 6 credit= full year?

Should we include winter courses as well since they are technically not in progress?

you have to enter the course weight as it appears on the transcript, no? 3 for half year and 6 for full year may not necessary align perfectly with 0.5 and 1.

Year old thread. Search ftw. Did anyone actually order their transcripts to enter in the information? When it says enter "exactly as it appears on transcript", does this mean we can just use the web transcript (Rosi for U of T) and student centre for UWO...?

hey dreamer- i hope you check this thread soon and i save you ten bucks! lol.. the transcript online from rosi is fine to input your grades.. you just need to order a transcript sealed and directly sent to mcgill.. but you dont need to order one to yourself as well as thats just a waste of money because rosi is fine!!

Stupid question... For a half course (say, in the academic year 2009 / 2010) starting in winter, does that count as 2010 or 2009?

I'd include anything that appears on the transcript. If you don't include a W course and it's on you transcript (official or unofficial), then it might be seen as you are trying to hide something.

I called the admission office and got these answers:

 

Don't add withdrawn courses, it has no grade.

 

For a winter course in 2009 / 2010 year, put Winter 2010. It makes sense too according to how it arranges the courses.
