I Heart Rural Med
Do you already have (or are you planning on getting) a laptop, for school? I bought a MacBook at the end of 4th year, which I'll be bringing with me to Mac.
itimebomb2
Do you already have (or are you planning on getting) a laptop, for school? Yeah a laptop is not really a choice. Since we do so much small group work, you need to have a laptop to stay on top of things. The checklist for registration also said that a laptop is mandatory. Tintin
^Are you serious? I just bought a monster desktop - I thought I could get away without a laptop. How much people actually bring laptops to group sessions anyways?
nemesis
Nope, I'm waiting for back to school specials to start up. Yeah, prolly a good idea. Any ideas what you'll be looking for in a laptop? I bought a MacBook at the end of 4th year, which I'll be bringing with me to Mac. I'm more of a PC person, myself....although I will be the owner of a new Apple product later today! (any guesses?) Yeah a laptop is not really a choice. Since we do so much small group work, you need to have a laptop to stay on top of things. The checklist for registration also said that a laptop is mandatory. Yeah, I figured. I was looking for any suggestions for solid netbooks... ...I just bought a monster desktop... Same, with 2,000 GB of storage space!

If you can find a way to get past its fault then you're a bigger man than me. Same, with 2,000 GB of storage space! So I guess you will be switching to exclusively HD porn. Only the best for nemesis! nemesis
If you can find a way to get past its fault then you're a bigger man than me... Actually, I toyed with one today and it didn't have *any* signal attenuation issues! (assuming that's what you're referring to) Perhaps it was an isolated issue, or had to do with a batch defect? On my way out to grab my device, now! ...So I guess you will be switching to exclusively HD porn. Only the best for nemesis! Actually, after switching to HD video, I noticed that ppl look scary in high rez, so maybe HD porn is out! EDIT: Send me a text, so I have your digits. How much people actually bring laptops to group sessions anyways? Dang... you can see how long you can get along without one. The libraries loan out laptops which are quite good. In the end, you'll probably opt to buy a cheaper laptop (the one i use was $500) or a netbook which is even cheaper. ...finally figured out who you are, CW! Did you get help...? Well, I'm just gonna get a netbook. If I got through most of engineering without needing a powerful laptop, I don't think med will be an issue. nemesis
.....I spent most of Friday night and early Saturday morning in the ER, taking care of my 16-year-old cousin who was in an alcohol-induced coma! One of the nurses came in and told me that, using their blood alcohol measurement (presumbably mmol/L), that a "17" is legally intoxicated, a "31" indicates alcohol-poisoning....and my kid cuzz arrived at the ER with a level of "44"! Goddamn teenagers! ...I thought only my friends can see my email... Yeah, I prolly added you from the FB group...either that or FB's security setting are lacking, which wouldn't be that surprising anyway.
amberlamps
I hope your cousin is doing better! Hopefully they will recover uneventfully and learn their lesson. I would not want to deal with my family if I pulled a stunt like that.

deeman101
How did you do that? Is there a way to dispute a quote? Yep. I didn't know this but Nemesis told me how he got his quote raised. So I thought I would try it out. For me they didn't even put up a struggle, lol. But mostly cause they still thought I was out of province. Then the guy was like "wait, I see you faxed a letter last week that says you are from ON. Let readjust that quote..." And then he comes back and tells me my new amount is 18,045. I was like . But I was more prepared to be like: look I'm 22k in debt right now (paid for the car but put it under my mom's name ) with no income in the foreseeable future and with an OSAP limit that won't even cover tuition. Needs more! But yea didn't even need to say anything like that.

I got like 17k plus 3k of a low income grant. im thinking ill call in to see if i can boost that to 18k, since any extra loan i can get will turn into OSOG, effectively being free money. Yeah, I got my funding increased from 15K to 20K and change, after moving around some of my meager financial assets. Also, how much did you spend on your ride? What kinda car is it, again? Yea 3k is for being low-income. Which I don't think at this point matters cause you're 4 years out of high school so you're probably low income regardless. The cap for a regular program is 18,200, and I'm at 18,045 so pretty much as much as I can get. For you guys though its a trimester so you get more. Not too shabby, Dee. Also, how much did you spend on your ride? What kinda car is it, again? LOL. I spent a lot on it. Bought it for 21k, spent another 1380 for ON registration and PST. And then regular maintenance and some light mods cleaned out all my savings from UG.
