Mr_Obvious
All of science is a competition already. If you mean like a high school science fair, they are now called conferences. You submit a poster, pretty much all get accepted, some win awards. The awards mean next to nothing. The real way to win is to get something published in a peer reviewed journal. Preferably a good one. If you are not ready to go pro, there is also usually an undergraduate research journal at most universities where you'd only be competing for publication with, well, probably no-one. I assume most anyone who writes something up for one of those gets their work accepted if it was original and put together in the proper format. smalltowngirl33
what title says Honestly, you could do an NSERC in the summer and then aim for the Rising Star of Research award. Just about every year someone at UNBC has gotten the top prize for Biochemistry... ! Just trying to rep my little school...
thatonekid
Go to the Faculty of Science office at your school and ask the people there. Someone in the office should know something about student competitions.
