sarup
Hi guys, I'm a bit confused about how U of A calculates your GPA. If your currently doing your 4th year, they don't drop your lowest year correct?
cgy1990
From what I interpreted if you are in your fourth year they will drop your lowest one: "The number of years completed is determined by how many years you will have completed by April 30th of the year following the submission of your application." sarup
So do they drop it pre-interview?
Asta
From what I understand, admissions only see your adjusted (if applicable) GPA.

thatonekid
I can't see mine either . I hope that's not a bad sign.Don't worry. UofA is generally slow when it comes to updating their GPA calculation.
medapp1337
I don't see mine either. They say don't worry until Nov 15. I'll probably wait another weak before bugging them .
Panforte
I don't think there's anything to worry about - After submitting my app, I got an email from them saying, "Your calculated CGPA might not appear until the end of December"

Savemefromeng
For those whose GPA is up, they don't round it up right? For example, if someone has 3.856, it would be 3.85 rather than 3.86 correct? Thanks
Holzie.89
It's hard to say because we don't actually know how Alberta calculates our GPAs...they don't release their conversion charts or anything as far as I know. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Dr.Gosling
For those whose GPA is up, they don't round it up right? For example, if someone has 3.856, it would be 3.85 rather than 3.86 correct? Thanks I received this email last year when I inquired about that: ------- Unfortunately, the Registrar's Office does not round GPA averages. They use truncated numbers. The Fall term will only be included when the Winter term is completed and we look at the full academic year as you did not have at least 18 credits in the Fall term alone.
