Falling
Apparently they're calling each other "comrade". I guess this is a great way to live out your marxist fantasy. edit: And I say that as a passionate socialist.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
LOL my grad student friends are snapping me what's going on inside the Rexall building (aka the shed) and it's full of ppl cheering at some guy giving a speech saying that we're striking NOW. I think it's over guys.
Falling
We're approaching the time period where people devolve into anger and name calling. This is fantastic.

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Yup. Had a feeling this strike would be more about sending a message in the end rather than the offer put forth by the school.
Falling
As a second degree student, I'm going to be forced to consider alternatives if this lasts super long.

Goku
I just found out that if the strike lasts 2 weeks or less they will NOT push back exams or extend the term
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I just found out that if the strike lasts 2 weeks or less they will NOT push back exams or extend the term Yup the profs can decide how they'll restructure the course if it's less than 2 weeks (majority of students have to vote yes though). Most of the content will simply be cut out. BUT if it's longer than 2 weeks we push into summer and reschedule exams.

Falling
Like I said, if this lasts very long, I will look elsewhere. I don't have time to waste waiting for a strike to finish.

Falling
What are you gonna do?! I'll probably have to give up on medicine if this thing looks like a 12-15 week strike. I can't lose an entire semester. I'll just find work and figure things out. I have my undergrad degree. The grades are bad, but it is still a mathematics degree from u of t. I can always take a few courses and become an accountant or something boring like that.
